  We have been going to this lost Paradise as a family for over 5 years. I had been to Fort Langley a million times before but never really looked across the river. When the tide is out expect sandy​ beaches and a good amount of space to set up for an afternoon. It's never really too busy but there are always kids playing in the sand and dogs leaping into the water. The swimming is fine without much current. No swimmers itch or leaches. The water isn't even very cold in the summer. I've gone kayaking up and down the river many times and you'll quite often see a few rowing teams, kayak classes and the occasional​ speed boat cruise on by.

  Can't get enough of this place. The Tavistock trail is a beautiful relaxing trail with easy signs to follow and the picnic areas are relaxing. At the entrance is a bathroom and it is well kept. When the tide is low, you can walk halfway around on the beach. The trails allow cycling as well.

  Great place to park when visiting Fort Langley. Awesome view with picnic tables and grassy field for the kids to play.
